È un formaggio fresco, dal delicato sapore di latte. Di consistenza cremosa o appena granulosa la Robiola Tomasoni è squisita spalmata sul pane o condita con olio di oliva, sale e pepe. Si abbina molto bene con diversi ingredienti, come l'aglio, il prezzemolo, le acciughe ma anche peperoni e olive e si utilizza come base in tantissime ricette, dalle salse o creme da spalmare sui crostini, alle torte dolci o salate.
